In 1982 I started researching to find where my mother's Wallace family originated. My husband and I made four trips to West Virginia and Virginia and discovered several additional Wallace families who were direct descendants of Robert and Mary (Alexander) Wallace of Greenbrier County. To date, I have not been able to "connect" Robert to the well-known Peter Wallace -Elizabeth Wood family that also lived in the Greenbrier County area. That is not to say, that they weren't related.

While researching the Wallace family, I also spent time working on my husband's Priser family and his mother's family, the Fairbanks. Those families can be found in the Priser "tree".

And finally, I have researched the Vandermark families, who came from the Kingston, New York area to Kosciusko County Indiana in the 1860's. Several lines of this family traveled on to Kansas to homestead. These families can be found in the Vandermark "tree".
