Mary Wallace Will
I, Mary Wallace of the County of Greenbrier and State of Virginia being weakly in body but of sound mind and memory, thanks to All mighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Viz:
Item 1st. I will and bequeath to my four daughters Elizabeth McClung, Nancy hickman, Jane Kincaid and Susan Knight two hundred dollars in cash each
Item 2nd. I also will to my three sons Samuel Wallace, Alexander and Moses Wallace forty dollars in cash each.
Item 3rd. I will and bequeath to my son Robert Wallace, one sorrel mare and all my young cattle and all my farming utentials and one bed being in the first room of the back shade.
Item 4th I will and bequeath to my son Washington Wallace one bed being in the back room of the back shade.
Item 5th I farther direct that all my horses and cattle, sheep and hogs not mentioned above and all my household and kitchen furniture be sold and I farther direct that my two negro girls Amy & Caroline be valued and if my daughter Susan Knight is willing to take Caroline at her valuation and pay back the overplus she is to have her and my son Robert Wallace is to take Amy at valuation in part of his cash legacy and if her value should amount to more than his share he is to pay the overplus. My will is farther that after all the above named legaizes are paid the residue of my estate shall be equally divided between my two sons Washington Wallace and Robert Wallace. I wis farther that my Executor pay to my grandson William McClung fifteen dollars in cash and I hereby appoint my son Washington Wallace my legal executor. I also appoint my friend John Burr one of my executors & In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 19th day of August 1850

A paper purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Mary Wallace deceased was produced in Court and proved by the oath of Albert McClung on of the subscribing witnesses thereto and the hand writing of Andrew Kincaid deceased another subscribing witness thereto was proved by the oath of Albert McClung and ordered to be recorded. Whereupon John Burr one of the executors therein named who, made oath thereto and together with Bollar McClung his security entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of $3000 conditioned as the Law directs, certificate is granted said executor for obtaining probat of said will in due form.
